Mom and I slept over at GranMa’s place last Friday night coz’ GranPa has gone to Malacca for a dart competition and only GranMa was left at home all alone. Mom said that we need to accompany GranMa or else GranMa would be alone. Aww.. poor GranMa.

But how about Papa, I wondered. I hope Papa was not afraid to sleep alone..

I went to bed early with mom as the next day was Wesak Day and we need to go to the temple to pray…that was what mom said.

As we were walking towards the temple, I recalled something.

With a big smile on my face, I asked…. “GranMa, how come we are coming to this temple?”

“I love this place”, I told GranMa happily.

Yah.. I remembered we came here sometime ago and I bathed Buddha.

We arrived at the temple in just a few more steps. Mom and GranMa lit the lotus candles at the altar and prayed. After that, I quickly dragged GranMa to the place where Buddha was waiting to be bathed. I scooped up the water from the mini pond and poured it onto Buddha’s mini statue carefully. GranMa helped me too. Then the monk scooped some of the water and splashed it on my head and washed my face too. It was so cold. My head was so wet.

I ran to where mom was standing after she made some donation to the temple. Mom raised her eyebrow when she saw my wet hair. I told mom what happened and she just smiled and said ‘cool’.
